2007
2007 was our most successful year to date. Through the generousity of our supporters, OLQM was able to build 20 new homes in Amatitan. These new dwellings changed the lives of nearly 100 people who were living in make-shift structures built from scaps of wood and tim found along the road. For many of these individuals it was the first time they slept in a home with a concrete floor and a real roof.
By participating in the construction process, each family can take pride in the fact that they helped build their own home. Whether mixing cement, carrying bricks or feeding the other workers, these individuals helped whatever way the could.
